ITV Horseracing Deal 2030
Published: 1 October 2025

ITV has confirmed a renewed agreement with British horseracing that will keep the sport free to air until the end of 2030. The deal, which begins in 2027, ensures fans can continue to enjoy live coverage across ITV1, ITV4, STV, STV Player, and the ITVX platform.
As part of the arrangement, ITV will broadcast 117 days of racing each year, including the popular morning programme The Opening Show. Major events such as the Grand National, Royal Ascot, Cheltenham Festival, and the Derby are all guaranteed to remain on the schedule.
ITV Sport Director Niall Sloane described the deal as a vital step for both the broadcaster and the racing industry, highlighting the importance of making top-level fixtures accessible to millions of viewers. Nick Mills, CEO of the Racecourse Media Group, added that the partnership will deliver an exceptional level of mainstream exposure for the sport.
The announcement follows record success for ITV’s racing coverage in 2025, with more than 15 million streams on ITVX and peak TV audiences such as 5.2 million for this year’s Grand National. Industry leaders, including the British Horseracing Authority, emphasized that the deal will not only sustain interest but also open the door to innovation in how the sport is presented and experienced in the years ahead.
